The Aberglais is situated between Talybont and Merthyr Tydfil.  Pontsarn is a local beauty spot and has several places of interest surrounding it and within walking distance.

The Blue Pool is a favourite spot for photographers because of the trees and fast flowing waterfall feeding it.

The Ponstarn Viaduct is another interesting walk as the Taff Trail crosses it on the way to Pontsticill.
